Being with Poets

Another marvelous,moss-embroidered, meditative session with the Pernessy Poets, as always superbly hosted by Elizabeth Hornor Boquet at Matthew Wake’s BooksBooksBooks in Lausanne!
Very special: one member traveled three hours by train to be present and lead us on a journey to the frontier between blissful appreciation/creation/sharing of beauty and learning and beyond words/silent surrender to emptiness/spirit, the line between ground and figure. A young poetess-mother brought her baby son, the youngest-so-far member, to the event! And read a moving poem, encapsulating a long life’s precious wisdom, by her baby’s great-grandfather. A third poetess’ poem about her grandmother’s illegible lines of writing also touched us profoundly. Long live(s) poetry!
